Summerhill House Hotel Wicklow is a place of enchantment where its character can only be felt and not described and offers a truly intimate wedding venue for you to celebrate your special day. Situated in the picturesque village of Enniskerry in the heart of Co. Wicklow, Summerhill House Hotel is close to the N11 and just 30 minutes south of Dublin City, making our wedding venue very accessible and provides an idyllic and tranquil ambience.

Experience the breathtaking beauty of our impeccably manicured gardens with the stunning backdrop of the Wicklow Mountains. A long-wooded driveway and twinkling outdoor lights add to the already magical aura of the hotel. The house itself features our Ivy Suite Ballroom which can host up to 250 guests and has 52 bedrooms including our elegantly decorated Honeymoon Suite. Our Head Chef Mark Duggan has curated quintessential wedding menus commemorating seasonality as well as using fresh produce and local ingredients.

We had been to 2 weddings in Summerhill as guests, so after we got engaged, it was the first place we asked to view as a possible venue. We of course, did due diligence and checked out other venues but Summerhill came out on top when compared to the important parts of the wedding reception for us. From start to finish, Summerhill had been there for us for every query and request. Their response time was very quick over the phone or by email. The package we got had high value, and the service on the day was amazing. The actual setting of the house and grounds were a big plus for us. Being able to plan our drinks reception in the courtyard as well as having the backup of the picture room (in case the rain came) made the planning process very exciting. We got a stunning photograph of the entire Wedding party from the bridal suite overlooking the courtyard which is a cherished photograph and we would definitely encourage other couples to do something similar. We were able to drop all our bits up the day before and the staff set it up as we had requested, while also letting us put our finishing touches on the room, giving us a great sense of comfort before the big day. When we went for the menu tasting, we met Head Chef Mark who cooked the most amazing food for us, it made the menu selection very hard in the best way! Our families couldn't complement the food on the day higher to a point that we are planning to come up during the 2024 Summer time to have a meal and sample it again. Our guests loved the day and have spoken very fondly of it, the food and bar service was swift, and by all accounts, the guests affirm that the day went smoothly without any problems. We were able to meet Ann (the Manager) Mark (the Head Chef) on the day who ensured the staff were looking after us and our guests, and they couldn't have been nicer to us. Hopefully we won't need another Wedding but if we do, we would come back and would recommend this as a venue to anyone that asks us.

We had the most incredible Autumn wedding day at Summerhill House Hotel in Co. Wicklow. From the moment we met the team, the a sense of warmth, attentiveness, and a genuine level of investment in making our celebration personal. The atmosphere was relaxed, and we are especially appreciative of being able to put our own spin on things. Nothing we proposed was a problem, and even if we were a bit lost with what to do, guidance was provided. We smiled throughout. We would especially like to thank Ciara, Edel and Mark for the prep & to the fantastic barmen Red and Christian. All the staff deserve praise, and it's a credit to Lorraine and the staff. The White Room for our ceremony was simply stunning, bright, intimate, and full of charm, especially with the Sugarloaf Mountain backdrop. The day ran like clockwork, and all the little touches, from checking in with us to bringing us to a room so we could practise our dance, really helped with this. Our guests are still talking about the food, especially the perfectly cooked beef, and the great selection of wines and beers. Every detail was seamless from start to finish. All of the above made everything feel uniquely “us.” Nothing was ever too much trouble. We couldn’t have asked for a more picturesque setting or more thoughtful staff; it was truly unforgettable.

We got married in the beautiful Summerhill House Hotel this time last year, and I am still smiling about it!! Ciara and her lovely team ensured everything was absolutely perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for more. They made the day so, so beyond special for us, catering to our every need. We recently had our wedding at Summerhill House Hotel, and I can easily say they made our wedding day not short of amazing. Ciara was our wedding planner, and nothing was a problem. She was incredible from the moment we met her, and she was a big part of the reason we chose the venue. The venue itself is fantastic, with beautiful views, and the hotel was so clean, along with the food being out of this world. They also accommodated additional food requests for our day, which was really appreciated. We didn’t have to do anything on the day, as it was all in place for us. I hope this review really helps this venue going forward because they made our wedding day a magical day that we will never ever forget. Thank you so much, and don’t change anything!

Tim and I were blessed to have found Summer Hill House. If you are looking for somewhere you can breathe and enjoy, and be with the ones you love, with kind and helpful staff and a beautiful environment to surround your family and your loving friends on your wedding day, then you would truly be fortunate to have your experience here. We feel so blessed. Firstly, when you are planning a wedding as a couple, your head is so busy with all the details, and your heart is so full of excitement, you want somewhere that will be there for all eventualities. We wanted somewhere inviting, warm, joyful and what was important to us was that our families were comfortable, attended to and happy. That is what we received and more with this wonderful place. The good food, storytelling, singing and hot whiskeys at night were important to us as a couple to have our Celtic traditions around us. Our ceremony was so crucial to us that it would be held somewhere where we felt safe, happy and relaxed to speak from our hearts, and that held up our families and our spiritual beliefs also, and this is exactly what we felt with the magical white ceremony room. Our experience with the entire staff was just something so special. The entire team and exquisite wedding co ordinator Cíara and Head Chef Mark were just the most kind, warm generous and truly helpful and caring people, and most importantly they allowed me and Tim to feel comfortable and confident in our day that everything would be cared for and looked after even if issues arose as in anything in life does nothing is perfect, but we knew that if anything happened we could depend on the staff to aid us. The entire day was whimsical like a dreamlike woodland, magical and filled with laughter, good food, good craic, and so much love. Our Dream Wedding at Summerhill House Hotel Our wedding at Summerhill House Hotel was truly everything we dreamed of and more. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the stunning setting – the driveway up and the Hotel itself are absolutely beautiful and provided the most picturesque backdrop for our photos and celebrations. We also popped over to Powerscourt Gardens for a few photos too. What truly made our day so special was the amazing staff. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind and genuinely attentive. A huge thank you goes to Cíara, the wedding coordinator & Adel, both of whom were exceptionally helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure the day was perfect & wonderfully stress-free and joyful. The Summerhill House Hotel is a fantastic wedding venue. We recently held our reception here. The hotel oozes style and character. It’s the perfect venue for beautiful photos with leafy green areas and a stunning landscape beside its white room for more photos. The function room was recently renovated and is beautiful with its chandeliers. Ciara the wedding coordinator was amazing to deal with. She was super organized and took note of all our requests big or small. Nothing was too much trouble. On the day of the wedding itself the waiting service was brilliant. No table had to wait long to be fed. The food was exceptional and even breakfast the next morning offered a huge variety of options. All our guests gave really positive feedback on the both the wedding meal & breakfast. Hats off to the chef and his team Overall we would really recommend the Summerhill!! Sarah & Adam

We could not be happier with the service that Ciara provided for our wedding. We were having a micro wedding with a small number of people and all of the finishing touches on the venue made the day feel so special for us. The White Room was set up so beautifully for us and staged with the colours of our choosing for no additional cost! The dining room was set up exactly as we asked and was elegantly laid out. We could not fault the food it was absolutely gorgeous and everyone enjoyed every last bite if it! Thank you so much Ciara and the Summerhill team for making our day so memorable and special.

We had the most unbelievable experience from start to finish for our wedding. From the minute we drove up the drive at the wedding fair in Summer Hill we were pretty sure we had found our dream venue. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the amount of drinks and food to sample at the fair was just unreal. We met Ciara who instantly made us feel comfortable and was beyond informative. Once we booked our date, we had 6 months to plan. Nothing was a hassle. Every question and request was met with a relaxed attitude and usually a "no problem". We wanted a relaxed, chilled, rustic vibe and that is exactly what we got and more. Our menu tasting was so much fun. Mark the head chef is a culinary genius and again was brilliant at guiding us with our choices. Sorting out the rooms for the wedding party was a headache for me and Ciara took that headache away and planned everything perfectly. I really felt like she was fully able to take what I was saying and make it the easiest thing in the world. The morning of the wedding was so much fun. We had the morning room for getting ready and a gorgeous brunch. Every single member of staff was so unbelievably helpful and friendly and nothing was an issue when the kids would change their minds about food and drink! Our ceremony was outside and I couldn't have been happier with the setup. The reception room was a dream come true for me. I loved how it was styled, Ciara went above and beyond for us. Our meal was unbelievable. All of our guests are still talking about how great it was. Everyone felt chilled out and relaxed. We honestly had the time of our lives. I only wish we could do it again! Ciara and Mark are so brilliant at what they do. Every staff member was just phenomenal. Our day 2 BBQ was just the same, really relaxed and chilled and the food was incredible! We are forever grateful to Summer Hill House Hotel, in particular Ciara, for making our wedding everything and more than we could have wished for.
